High School 2v2 Sand Leagues at Gaston College

  • Open to ALL Current High School students, current 8th-12th grade. Teams must consist of 2 girls or 2 boys (if we have enough boys interested, we will form a boys division). Matches are to be played at Gaston College late Sunday afternoons. We can also use the 2 courts at S New Hope Rd if there is an overflow of teams.
  • Gaston College Sand Courts 201 US-321, Dallas, NC 28034
  • New Hope Sand Box 4328 S New Hope Rd, Gastonia, NC 28056
  • League starts Sunday, April 26, and ends Sunday, June 7. No matches Sunday, May 3rd (*tentative Gaston College JUCO National bid event on the courts that weekend)
  • The price is $80 per team ($40 per player)
  • League will run 6 weeks under 2 divisions (skill). Intermediate and Advanced. Team playoffs/brackets at the end, with prizes for 1st and 2nd per division (for example, 20 teams “Advanced”, 20 teams “Intermediate”). We can cap at 56 teams. *IF the league does not cap, I will try my best to set up double headers (so you will play 2 matches every Sunday).
  • Matches will be scheduled/played Sunday afternoons, 3-4 PM, 4-5 PM, 5-6 PM, or 6-7 PM
  • If an entire team cannot make a particular night/match, that is OKAY. Just please let us know in advance so we can be sure to have a team for your opponents to play that night. If only 1 player cannot make it and the other player still wants to play, we can find your team a sub that night, etc.
  • The final night/championship will be Sunday, June 7. All teams make the playoffs, so please make sure you are able to play that night, even if you have to miss a few regular scheduled matches. As far as subs for the championships, you will need to run that through Todd as far as who is subbing to make sure it is “fair”.
  • After completing the registration form, please Venmo @gastongalaxy or Cash App $gastongalaxy to reserve your spot. THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT. YOUR SPOT WILL NOT BE SECURE UNTIL PAYMENT IS RECEIVED. In the Venmo or CashApp comment, please list who you are paying for (players).
